Today's Quote : You Are Only As Strong As Your Weakest Link

This is one of the greatest lines I have ever heard. I am sorry to say that I dont remember the exact source from where i heard this. Most probably from a movie. Anyway, it has greatly affected my life. For those of you who did not understand what the line wants to say...

Consider a long strong iron chain made up of a 999 iron links. Introduce a 1000th link which is made of woolen thread. Then, the strength of the whole chain now depends on that thin link of thread. It also means that each person has SOME weak trait which, in certain extreme situations, may cloud all ones strong traits.

Incompetence in General Knowledge was one of MY weakest traits. But that was a long time ago.

Things you should know about DDQ

As i have mentioned before, interaction is the best way to learn. Be it any field under the sun (or even above it). The blog is designed with a purpose to bring in answers from viewers. The Quizmaster will post questions from EVERY field daily. Some questions will be objective while some may be subjective, hence worth the discussion. The answer to the questions will be displayed the next day in the archive section.

This blog is not just about Quizzing, though the name says so :) It is about gaining Knowledge, and removing that Weak trait, imcompetence in General Knowledge. So we will also be discussing certain issues, get to know things in the world we never knew existed. All such entries, views and perceptions are invited from the viewers. Just comment on the day's quiz with your answers, suggestions, questions, what not...

Based on your answers the Quizmaster will award you points. Every relevant submission will be awarded points. The current leader will get his pic and profile to be seen on the top of the page. The weekly leader will get entry to the DDQ Hall of Fame. Hence we request all viewers to submit some details about themselves like their Name, a good pic, profiles from Twitter, Facebook or Orkut. We advise you NOT to submit your pics if you dont trust DDQ. We assure you that the information you send us will NOT be used for any other purpose other than to display in our front page. We will not distribute your details to third parties.

What is DDQ about?

This is not just a general quizzing platform. Its not just about looking at some questions and its answer beside it. It is from my experience that i have noticed that "Interaction" makes a lot of difference. So we have designed this to be as interactive as possible.

Here the Quizmaster will post questions daily from as many fields as possible(Science, Technology,General,etc...). Besides this general quiz there will be a Puzzle section, where it is more about the mind's "Processor" rather than its "Hard Drives". A daily comic strip and game may also be included...
